International Women's Day marks the achievement of rights and the pursuit of women's equity. Focused on today's problems, the feeling is this inequality remains the same. But is that true? Advertising reflects very well the values of an era. Seeing how brands used to represent women throughout the 20th century helps to see from a historical perspective if their fight for rights had any results.
In the end, to counteract the pictures hanging on the walls, a blank board on an easel invited them to say what they expect from advertising in the next decade.
